The Cubs came back again, flying the “W” 3-2 over Washington on Friday afternoon.
Jason Heyward: 1 for 4, 2 RBI
Anthony Rizzo: 0 for 1, 1 R,1 RBI, 3 BB

Steve Cishek: 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, Win (3-1)
How it Happened
The Cubs were down 2-0 early after Kyle Hendricks struggled. Hendricks bounced back and dominated the rest of the way. However, the Cubs didn’t have a hit through 5.0 innings. Jason Heyward got the first one in the sixth and it was a big one. Heyward blasted an RBI single, scoring two runs, tying the game 2-2.
The Cubs offense came through again in the seventh. Anthony Rizzo took a bases-loaded walk, giving the Cubs a late 3-2 lead. It was Rizzo’s third walk of the afternoon. Carl Edwards and Pedro Strop delivered as the Cubs hung on to win 3-2.
One Great Moment
David Bote just keeps on delivering. He’s a stud that keeps impressing. Bote was playing third again today and had a pretty nice defensive highlight:
