RECAP — Cubs 0, Brewers 4

The Cubs fell in the second game of the three-game set against Milwaukee on Tuesday, losing 4-0 after just two hits as a team.

Standout Performers

Willson Contreras: 1 for 3
Addison Russell: 1 for 3
Tyler Chatwood: 5.0 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K

How it Happened

The Brewers got RBI doubles in the 1st and 3rd innings accumulating all four of their runs. Just one of those runners were put on from a Tyler Chatwood walk, and the three runners all reached on just one bad pitch inside the strike zone. The Cubs offense was nearly blanked by Chase Anderson and the Brewers with just Willson Contreras and Addison Russell singles. This wasn’t an all-around ugly game like we’ve seen in losses this year, but just a minor setback.

Standings Check

The Cubs fall to 38-26 this season, now back to 0.5 games behind the Brewers.
