- Brendon Little was solid for South Bend in the 4 2/3 innings he pitched, yielding three hits and zero earned runs to go along with five strikeouts. Little still was not on his “A” game like in junior college but produced so far, his best performance. Hopefully, this is the start of bigger things, and Little finally breaks out in his second season.
- Alex Lange threw a gem for Myrtle Beach, for his best performance this season to date. Lange went for seven innings, allowing just three hits and one earned run while striking out five and walking none. After back-to-back shaky performances from Lange, he was lights out on Saturday and looks to be back to his spectacular self.
- Duncan Robinson was yet another starter to throw a shutout, with six excellent frames for Tennessee. He gave up six hits and two unearned runs while striking out five in the Smokies close 6-4 loss. Robinson was good enough for his third quality start in five starts this season. He continues to heat up and emerge as one of the most promising prospects in the Cubs Minor League.
