The Players to Watch For

Starlin Castro (MIA): Odds are you probably recognize the name, Starlin Castro. Yes, you remember that he played for the Cubs a few years ago right before the World Series season. He swapped teams this past offseason from New York and is now in Miami. This will be his Marlins regular season debut. Castro hit .321 in Spring with a homer and 2 RBI in 20 games.

Yu Darvish (CHC): The storied offseason for Yu Darvish and not signing with anyone for a long time finally concluded almost two months ago. Everything since the day he signed has gone tremendously well for Darvish and the Cubs. In 5 starts this Spring, Yu Darvish showed every bit of promise he came with, chalking up a 2.79 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 20 strikeouts, and a perfect 3-0 record. He will debut in Game Three of the Series on Saturday.

The Conclusion

The Cubs are obviously a very good team that has tremendous chances of winning the World Series again, and the Marlins, well are in a rebuild. It’s Opening Weekend, Yu Darvish will debut for the Cubs in Game Three of the series, and we will get to see the strong rotation from Spring Training translate over into the regular season. Brace yourself Cubs fans, Cubs Baseball is BACK!
