WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.– In addition to 22 recruits for Jeff Brohm’s 2018 class originally signed during the early-signing period, the Boilermakers added receiver Rondale Moore and linebacker Ja’Qurius Smith officially on Thursday afternoon.
Moore a wide receiver from Louisville, Kentucky committed to Purdue at halftime of the Nebraska game on television. He originally committed to Texas back in the summer, but de-committed in late December to explore other options. Purdue was competing with Alabama, Ohio State, and Florida State but Moore would choose the best fit to him which was luckily Purdue for many fans.
Smith from Florida, on the other hand, had committed to Syracuse back in May of 2017, but de-committed this January to also look at other options. He too wanted to explore more schools and had extreme interest from Cincinnati and also Western Kentucky. Smith had just visited Purdue last weekend and had a mutual interest with Jeff Brohm and ultimately signed today.
