The Indianapolis Colts on Monday afternoon announced that they would send two more players to the Injured Reserve with just two weeks left in the regular season.
Second-year center Ryan Kelly and inside linebacker Jon Bostic were the two starters placed on Injured Reserve after battling injuries all season. Kelly had missed the past three games due to a concussion in the first half of the week twelve meeting between Indianapolis and Tennessee. On top of that, Kelly missed the first four games of this season due to a foot injury sustained in training camp. Needless to say, the 2017 Colts season has not been kind to Kelly who has had to battle injuries all throughout the year.
Kelly played and started seven games this season for the Colts following a great rookie campaign in which he started all sixteen games. That obviously will not be the case for this season, since he will miss a grand total of seven starts. Per the Washington Post, Kelly allowed 1.50 sacks in his seven starts combined this season.
