Indiana Commit Rob Phinisee dazzles in H.S. Win

McCutcheon H.S. Star and IU Commit Rob Phinisee scores 17 points in win

If one thing is certain for the future of Archie Miller and the Indiana Men’s Basketball team, the recruiting class for 2018 is definitely going to be exciting for the Hoosiers. Rob Phinisee is one of those recruits who has committed to IU and had a solid game on Tuesday night helping his High School McCutcheon to a 67-46 win over Benton Central.

Phinisee finished with 17 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds in the Mavericks win over Benton Central. Most notably on Tuesday night, Rob made seven shots right underneath the basket which is unusual for the 5-11″ point guard.

In his last game out on the floor, Phinisee scored 36 to lift McCutcheon over West Lafayette.

Rob Phinisee is a four-star commit for Indiana, who was a hard commit on November 8th, 2017. The main competition for the Hoosiers was Purdue who also plays in the same city of Phinisee’s high school. It was a big accord for IU to round out their 2018 class with Phinisee.
