Romeo Langford puts on a show in Hoosiers Land

No, Romeo Langford did not play for IU tonight (we wish). Langford and his New Albany Bulldogs played Bloomington South in a packed stadium of probably more Indiana Hoosier fans than fans of the high school he faced. Langford put on a show, scoring 24 points and moved up to 21st on the Indiana all-time High School scoring list.

In the game on Saturday night, Romeo passed some notable names in Indiana High School Hoops history on the list.

  • Charlie McKenzie, Claypool/Warsaw, 1967
  • Rich Mount, Lebanon, 1989
  • Michael Lewis, Jasper, 1996
  • Kenny Rowan, Northview, 1989
  • Kyle Macy, Peru, 1975
  • Shawn Kemp, Concord, 1988

You can even catch some highlights from Romeo’s night courtesy of the Indianapolis Star on Twitter.

Right now at the moment, it appears that out of his final three schools, IU leads the pack. Of course, this can change at any time and is just pretty much speculation. A final decision has yet to be made, and will not have an official commitment to what looks like next Spring. We’ll just have to wait and see.
