Notre Dame stays perfect on road, rout Spartans 38-18

EAST LANSING, MI.– The Irish have now won two games in a row beating Michigan State 38-18, and are 2-0 on the road.

Brandon Wimbush once again came through. He went 14/20 for 173 yards and a touchdown. He added 8 carries for 52 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He four sure is one of the elite mobile quarterbacks in division one.

The first drive of the game for the Irish ended with a successful touchdown run. Wimbush drove them down the field with his pass attack. He then finished the drive with a 16-yard rushing touchdown.

Josh Adams who just broke a Notre Dame rushing record wasn’t as dominant but still got the job done with 9 carries for 56 yards. Deon McIntosh led backs in carries, running the ball 12 times for 35 yards and a touchdown. Dexter Williams added 8 carries for 52 yards and a touchdown. Williams also caught Notre Dame’s only touchdown through the air.

Equanimeous St. Brown led Irish receivers with 4 receptions and 61 yards. His longest catch was for 40 yards. Chase Claypool also added 4 catches for 56 yards with his long going for 27 yards.

The Notre Dame defense was solid with 81 total tackles, 2 sacks, 4 tackles for loss, 3 pass deflections, 2 fumble recoveries, and one pick-six.
